Tomas Jochmann was born in Prešov, Slovak Republic on September 9, 1986. He began playing piano at age five.

He studied at the Conservatory of Jaroslav Ježek from 2003 to 2009 in Prague, Czech Republic and after graduating continued on at the Higher Specialized School of Jazz of Jaroslav Ježek from 2010 to 2012.

During his studies at the Conservatory, he begin to regularly participate in several international jazz workshops in Italy: Tuscia in Jazz Workshop (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013), Ronciglione Jazz Spring (2011) and Barry Harris Workshop in Rome (2013). Among his teachers were eminent jazz musicians such as Kenny Barron (2008, 2009), Dado Moroni (2009, 2010), David Kikoski (2011), Antonio Ciacca (2011), Aaron Parks (2013) and Barry Harris (2013).

In 2013, he had the opportunity to play live with renowned musicians like Kurt Rosenwinkel, Rosario Giuliani and Justin Faulkner. (see in Videos)

Tomas is currently living in Prague and has been touring across Europe since 2003. Playing concerts throughout countries such as Taipei (Taiwan), Ha Noi (Vietnam), Cairo (Egypt), Muri (Switzerland) and Berlin (Germany) were very inspiring.

As time went by, he started to be well known for reliable accompaniment for singers of various genres and styles.
